Unlike a traditional agency, our clients are not limited to a choice of our "employees." We have interviewed and screened hundreds of professionals for our vast Talent Network. We match personalities as well as expertise to each client request.

For each client request, we select the best creative and marketing service professional(s) to perform the work that meets the clients needs.

After we make a successful "match," we monitor and evaluate the creative contractors performance and act as a liaison between the client and the marketing professional(s) as needed.

Our vision is to provide equal opportunities for small, boutique-size firms and self-employed individuals to compete for business that was previously directed to large, traditional ad agencies and large design/PR firms.
History of the Firm
Creative Connections NW was launched in March of 1996 as an innovative resource for clients seeking an alternative or additional resource to traditional advertising agency services.
The idea for our service was hatched by our company founder, Ingrid Carruthers, while she worked as an advertising executive with Washington Transit Advertising. She noted the trend of many clients seeking referrals to a variety of marketing and advertising experts for ala carte needs. At the same time, she saw the increase in independent creative professionals working directly with clients. The missing link appeared to be a "clearinghouse" of creative talent that would serve as a central resource for clients; a hybrid "matchmaking" service!
Ingrid conducted a year of market research in 1995, and began building the foundation of the company. Joined by a former client of Washington Transit Advertising, Heidi Bright, together they launched the introduction of Creative Connections in the Pacific Northwest. Ingrid currently serves as Founder and Chairman of the firm and continues to direct the company's growth. Heidi has taken over the role of President and CEO, operating and promoting the firm's unique service.
